Situated within the rolling terrain of Howey-in-the-Hills, Mission  Inn rests atop the second highest elevation in Central Florida. The name Las Colinas itself translates to "the hills."  Surrounded by the pristine waters of Lake Harris and stately oaks and pines, Mission Inn's Las Colinas is a close-knit, family-run business.  What began in 1970 by Nick Beucher as Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort has expanded into a community of stunning homes and condominiums, three restaurants, and two golf courses.

One of those courses, the historic El Campeon, is currently ranked in the Top 25 of Florida's 1,100 courses.  The newer. Las Colinas Golf Course, was designed by former PGA Tour member, Gary Koch and was recently voted "Best New Course" by Golf Digest.

Thirty-five years later, Mission Inn Real Estate is still run by the Beucher family.  Unlike many large developments, the owners of Mission Inn's Las Colinas are not absent from the day-to-day happenings in their growing community.  Tom Line serves as developer, contractor, and broker for the community and says most of the managing family lives right on site.

"The individuals and families who live here are our friends and neighbors, and we treat them as such" Tom says.  "As a resident, you have direct access to the management and vice versa.  It's a very personal relationship."

"The best part about living at Las Colinas is the wonderful people here," agree Donna and Wayne Borden.  "There is such a diverse group of friendly people with a wide range of interests and backgrounds," they explain.

Potential residents can choose between a variety of spacious floor plans and lot sizes.  While each layout is distinctly different, the homes in Las Colinas are unified by the Spanish influence in the architecture.

"The Spanish-colonial design gives the development a very peaceful. cohesive look," Tom says.  "It also fits in perfectly with Florida's past.  Living in Las Colinas is like living in a grand country estate.

Aside from the aforementioned recreational activities available to residents, the natural beauty and location of the community allow for an abundance of outdoor and nature-related activities.

Residents have exclusive access to Marine del Rey, a 53-slip marina on Lake Harris. Enjoy year round docking privileges for your own boat, or rent one of theirs for a day of boating, fishing, and exploring.

Mission Inn location mapLocation is everything and Mission Inn is situated within an easy 15-to-45-minute drive of many of Central Florida's treasures.  From the Orlando attractions and shopping opportunities to copious Florida parks and lakes, Mission Inn offers the best of both worlds.  There is indeed something for everyone.

It's a wonderful, beautiful place to call home." Tom says.  "If you are looking for a carefree lifestyle in a centrally located community, Mission Inn Las Colinas is for you."
